In this role, you would be joining an experienced data analytics team that enjoys partnering with business leaders to provide innovative, impactful, and practical solutions. We work across a variety of industries on solutions that support our clients' strategy, decision making, and daily operations. Your responsibilities would include a mix of managerial and team oversight along with hands-on delivery for our clients.
Responsibilities
Guide our clients and teams on their analytics journey - includes partnering on their strategic vision for analytics, creating a practical roadmap of supporting initiatives, prioritization, scoping and project charters, and execution; which also includes the ability to think through and advise on Data & Analytics Center of Excellence considerations
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in large and/or complex data sets using statistical techniques
Produce compelling insights in visual analytics, dashboards, and/or reporting
Interview clients, gather data, define, and document business requirements
Conduct current state/future state gap analysis for business and data processes
Develop process flows using standard flowcharting methodology in tools such as Microsoft Visio or Alteryx
Create visually pleasing, client ready presentations, and project status updates using Microsoft PowerPoint
Develop report specifications showing data fields required, where data is sourced, and any formulas or algorithms required to produce report
Act as role model, supervisor, coach, and mentor to Consultants and Senior Consultants, both on projects and within coaching families
Travel
Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%
Required Experience & Qualifications
6+ years of relevant experience dealing with large data sets to capture current state/target state design in functional and/or technical capacity as well as reading/interpreting data to draw meaningful insights
Practical experience and proficiency in:
... Various data analytics tools supporting data visualization and data cleansing (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx)
... Programming languages (e.g. Python, SQL, R)
... Working knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall)
Prior experience in professional services (public accounting or advisory firm), preferably at a large, global accounting firm or with a management consulting firm
Prior experience managing client and/or internal teams by guiding performance against objectives, creating an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, modeling leadership behaviors, and encouraging continuous improvement/innovation
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Strong proficiency in SQL (ability to write, understand, and edit complex data processing queries)
Experience with predictive modeling and analytics
Project management experience, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Strong attention to detail with the ability to think from a "big picture" perspective
Demonstrated track record of establishing credibility both internally and externally
Passionate about building, developing, motivating, and leading others
Creativity, confidence, and flexibility
High energy, enthusiasm, and an entrepreneurial spirit
Education
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics or similar technical discipline
