The Systems Design & Engineering (SD&E) team is part of Systems Engineering. It's part of the Business Operations portfolio of the Consulting Service Line within Deloitte UK.

Your role As a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting, you will be working on a team providing Low Code platform implementation and support services to clients. Your role will be focused on developing intuitive solutions to meet business requirements. You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team using Agile Methods incl. Scrum, Kanban to facilitate collaborative working and alignment across multiple stakeholders, including the Delivery Lead, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Senior Developers and Testers across the project lifecycle.
As a Developer, you will have responsibility for:
Developing solutions that meet business requirements using low-code platforms
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team using Agile Methods
Working closely with multiple stakeholders across the project lifecycle, including:
Liaising with Business Analysts to understand business requirements and with Solution Architects on functional and technical designs
Supporting the overall delivery including: scoping and estimation of development efforts; status reporting, dependency management and risk/issue identification and mitigation.
Working collaboratively with test teams during the Product test and UAT phases to fix assigned bugs
Communicating with the client stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements and manage questions/clarifications
Developing program specifications and detailed design documents.
Coding, testing and debugging complex applications programs using low-code platforms.
Enforcing coding standards and performing code reviews.
Collaborate with other team members across locations
Quality assurance, including ensuring quality of coded components by performing thorough unit testing.
Providing primary support for assigned systems and applications; providing backup support for other systems as needed.
Working independently with limited support, while aligned to weekly and daily agile governance (weekly sprints, reporting)
Mentoring junior developers.

Location: You will be based at our Deloitte Glasgow office, however travel may be required for client based projects. Whilst some clients are Glasgow based, we do spend time on site with regional and international clients. We specify full mobility for our consulting roles but we make arrangements respectfully. There may be some opportunity for working from home depending on client demands.

Your professional experience Technical Requirements:
Experience in software development and implementation.
Strong track record working in a technical role to perform process analysis, gather business requirements, and develop/configure digital applications.
Have experience in agile delivery environment across all phases including design, development, testing, implementation, deployment and maintenance.
Experience in working in a multi-stakeholder environment
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to solve complex technical challenges according to project needs
Identify, evaluate and troubleshoot application defects
Technical skills in web-scale architecture patterns, solutions design, and application performance
Knowledge or professional experience of Database development (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server and / or Oracle)
Knowledge or professional experience of web development languages (e.g. including one or more of the following Java, .NET, Python, PHP, Node.js, React.js)
Knowledge or professional experience of Frontend development languages (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Knowledge or professional experience of full-stack web application development
Knowledge or professional experience of developing for mobile platforms
