ABOUT THIS OUTSTANDING INTERIM OPPORTUNITY

• 3-6+ month assignment
• TJC accredited teaching hospital
  Focus on the upcoming TJC survey, HCAPPs, and Core Measures
• 3 Quality Coordinator FTEs
• Reports to and supports the VP of Quality
• Ensures all required quality measures are collected, analyzed, studied for improvement, and reported as needed to meet requirements of CMS, Joint Commission, external agencies, DPH, State Health Department, and third-party payers
• Develops peer review criteria in collaboration with medical staff and nursing leaders which are compliant with the Joint Commission and departmental requirements
• Works with Process Improvement to manage all processes related to Lean initiatives, root cause analysis, failure mode effects analysis, and other improvement methods
• Manages processes for quality data collection, quality reporting, development of reports for quality assessment, and communication to clinical staff and leaders
• Ensures that deadlines are met, and changes are made to internal reporting processes as data requirements/updates are published, and monitors outcomes
• Recommends changes in processes and procedures based on data collection methods, which will improve quality and productivity
• Identifies areas for improvement based on the data submitted

EXPERIENCE | EDUCATION | LICENSURE | CERTIFICATIONS 

• Bachelor’s degree required
• RN License preferred  
• CPHQ, CPHRM, or CPPS a plus
• CA acute care regulatory experience HIGHLY preferred  
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a healthcare field
• Working knowledge of national healthcare trends in quality improvement and management
• Demonstrated expertise in The Joint Commission (TJC) Accreditation process and budgetary management
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of hospital staff
• Available to travel to the client-site and work a full-time schedule, M - F, or as needed
