Under supervision, learns to provide technical assistance and training within a health care specialty. Plans, directs, and implements a specialty program. Evaluates programs for compliance with state and/or federal guidelines.
Job Responsibilities
Job Summary: This position will support the Crash Outcome Data Evaluation System (CODES) program and Responsible for data analytics including creating a data dictionary for the de-identified analytical linked data set and updating the analytical linked data set with annual linked data. This position will also be the co-point person for the Georgia Traffic Safety Facts (GTSF).
This person will continue to build on the foundation work and utilize linked data sets and other data sources to produce reports and other data products. These products will be used in planning Georgia prevention programs, legislative information, and will also provide data and support to the Strategic Highway Safety Plan (SHSP) task teams.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist the CODES data team with crafting the structure of the de-identified analytical CODES data base.
Inputting data into that CODES de-identified, linked database; ensuring clean, usable, consistent data and data attributes.
Reviewing standard counts and assisting with quality assessment and quality improvement (QA/AI) work for the data.
Collect, analyze, summarize, and distill information into quality, timely data products.
Prepare reports to internal and external partners on quality of data.
Master's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of experience performing work related to area of assignment OR Six years of experience performing work related to area of assignment.
Note: Some positions may require licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in work requiring strong attention to detail and quality assurance
Experience in Motor Vehicle Safety or Injury
Experience with databases, analysis, and reporting
Proficiency in ACCESS, SAS, and SQL; or other statistical software
Proficiency in MSWord, Excel & PowerPoint.
Knowledge/experience in with probabilistic linking of public health data
Skills, including presentation of scientific papers at conferences
