The Human Resources Employment Consultant Senior provides leadership, consultation, and a high-level of customer service to support department hiring efforts. The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervision – Supervise Employment Consultants and Employment Specialists. This will include hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Consulting – Serve as the lead hiring and selection consultant for identified departments. Proactively build and maintain strong working relationships with hiring departments to provide resources and recommend hiring best practices. Partner with hiring officials and leadership to assist in meeting our strategic plan and diversity goals. Lead trainings on general hiring principles, unconscious bias, and other selection best practices.
Service Development and Organizational Improvement – Contribute to the continuous improvement of the department's services by actively leading projects and work groups. Focus on process improvements in both department and University hiring processes.
Customer Service – Provide exceptional customer service directly to hiring officials to support staff posting and hiring processes. Ensure overall turnaround times are meeting customer expectations. Use resources to problem solve all escalated issues and seek to eliminate any and all hiring barriers for the department and applicants.
Compliance – Collaborate with appropriate employment team members and hiring departments to ensure all posting and selection requirements are adhered to as outlined by University policies and procedures, relevant state and federal employment laws, and department standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Skills /Knowledge/Abilities:
The ideal candidate must have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships, effectively influence, coach and train hiring departments and provide leadership and problem solving. This individual must possess professional knowledge of hiring and selection techniques and quickly be able to gain an understanding of the business operations of distinct units of the University. The successful individual will deliver superior customer service focus, have excellent communication skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, planning and organization, information monitoring and analysis and presentation skills. We are seeking a collaborative, innovate individual with a strong respect for diversity and high emotional intelligence which are all keys to success in this position.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Prefer Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field. Prefer several years of experience and a proven track record in hiring and selection coaching and/or consultation. Experience with Behavior Based Interviewing is a plus.
