What Program and Project Management contributes to Cardinal Health
Cardinal Health's Program/Project Management is responsible for planning, developing, communicating, implementation, and evaluating programs that involve working with external entities and their corresponding resources as well as with the company's internal resources. May manage operational day-to-day tasking of project or program managers within assigned project or program. Works within the constraints of budget, schedule, and scope while managing risk and ensuring adherence to established processes and methodologies.
Job Summary
The Clinical Supply Chain Consultant (CSCC) is a manager-level position within the WaveMark™ Project Management office. A CSCC will be responsible for executing contractual deliverables within complex projects. A CSCC will also be well versed in all aspects of the acute healthcare supply chain such that they can independently provide consultative assessments to determine current state gaps and make appropriate future state recommendations. A key requirement for this role is to conduct business dealings with customers in a way that creates a superior customer experience, starting with initial introductions through project completion. Commitment to deadlines and outcomes is critical.
The successful CSCC has extensive knowledge of hospital supply chains in all areas of the hospital, is a self-starter, has exceptional communication skills, is well organized, and is comfortable and experienced in contacting and conversing with senior business executives, materials management leadership, and clinicians. A successful CSCC will demonstrate the ability to develop strong business relationships, have a collaborative approach in a team environment, possess strong interpersonal and communicative skills, and hold themselves accountable to the highest level of standards. A CSCC should embody all the core values of Cardinal Health and integrate them into their daily activities.
Responsibilities:
Ensure problem statements and objectives are clearly defined. Ensures requirements are aligned to project scope, objectives, and strategies.
Develop and deliver environment of care and workflow transformation recommendations to achieve the optimal future state.
Develop and deliver transformation timeline and resource requirement plans.
Execute multiple and complex implementation projects at a hospital, system, regional, and national level.
Facilitate strategic decisions to optimize implementation projects specific to the management of scope, financials, and schedule.
Anticipate complex project risk factors by developing strategies and plans to mitigate any negative impact.
Develop policies and procedures to achieve specific goals, which may be precedent setting.
Recommend new internal or customer-facing practices, process, metrics, or models, as needed.
Work with designated WaveMark Sales individuals to validate the scope and scale for potential new projects.
Serve as resource and mentor to less experienced individual contributors.
Support onboarding and training of new personnel.
Resolve conflicts across assigned project team members without functional intervention.
Influence and manage expectations to ensure that all internal and external stakeholders are aligned.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
MBA or graduate degree preferred.
6+ years experience in related field preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
Expert level knowledge of all acute healthcare supply chain areas and clinical operations.
Expert level knowledge of all project management concepts and principles.
Lean Six Sigma Certification or PMP Certification highly preferred.
Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
Strong consulting, facilitation, influence and relationship management skills.
Exhibit high degree of business acumen and analytical skills.
Ability to negotiate and navigate complex project-related issues on behalf of WaveMark.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and work with aggressive timeframes.
Self-motivated with a solution-oriented approach.
Track record of consistently achieving and exceeding performance goals.
Ability to travel 50%+ of time.
Must provide proof of and maintain current immunizations and obtain additional immunizations appropriate for the facility which enables access to customer sites in order to perform essential job functions. Proofs must include: Hepatitis B, Influenza (current year), MMR (mumps, measles, rubella), Varicella (chicken pox), Annual TB/PPD (skin test), Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis, and, if required by customer policy, Covid-19
A Covid-19 vaccination or a legitimate accommodation is required in order to be employed in this position. Covid-19 vaccination includes: 2 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine OR 1 dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine
