The Employee Experience Coordinator for the Student Affairs Division at the University of Missouri plays a pivotal role in ensuring a positive and engaging experience for all employees within the division. This position is responsible for onboarding, training, engagement, and offboarding initiatives that help create a sense of belonging and growth within the division. This position would be a great fit for someone with previous Student Affairs leadership development experience or previous HR related experience.
Develop and implement a comprehensive onboarding program to integrate new hires into their department, the division and the University of Missouri
Coordinate orientation sessions, mentorship programs, and other activities to help new employees acclimate to their roles, department and division.
Collaborate with department leaders to create personalized onboarding plans for employees in various roles to best meet the needs of the department and employee.
Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the onboarding process through feedback mechanisms and continuous improvement.
Training and Development:
In partnership with the Learning and Development team plan, coordinate, and facilitate leadership development, managerial training, and other relevant training programs for staff across the Student Affairs.
Identify learning needs, design curriculum, and collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure staff growth and skill development.
Evaluate and assess training outcomes and adjust programs as needed to address emerging needs and trends.
Manage training budget and resources.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the division.
Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement initiatives to enhance the overall work experience. Monitor assessment data and adjust program initiatives based on this data.
Serve on the social committee for the division to plan and execute engaging events and activities that promote networking and morale.
Identify and recognize employee achievements, milestones, and contributions to foster a culture of appreciation.
Collaborate with department leaders to create strategies for improving team dynamics and relationships.
In conjunction with the Sr. HR Manager for Student Affairs conduct exit interviews for employees departing their department or division.
Share exit survey data with department and division leaders in a timely manner.
Analyze offboarding data to identify trends and areas for improvement within the division.
Create offboarding resources for departing employees to ensure a smooth transition and maintain positive relationships.
Develop knowledge transfer processes to preserve institutional knowledge during employee departures.
Collaboration and Reporting:
This position reports to the Director of Finance and Human Resources for the Division of Student Affairs. This position will have a dotted line reporting relationship to the Director of Learning & Development with the University of Missouri System. This position will work closely with the Sr. HR manager and HR team within Student Affairs.
Work closely with the office of learning and development to utilize best practices and align training initiatives to UM system standards.
Assist with the creation of division-wide communication strategies to promote employee experience initiatives.
Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in employee experience and share insights with the team and leadership.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in leadership development, training, HR, employee experience, or related roles.
Previous experience working in a student affairs or higher education environment is advantageous.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to develop and execute training programs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
