Under the supervision of the Director of Affirmative Action and EEO, the Affirmative Action and EEO Compliance Consultant (AAEEO Consultant) will support a centralized compliance function by maintaining the day-to-day responsibilities for the universitys Affirmative Action and EEO Program and leading the advancement of Program objectives. The AAEEO Consultant is responsible for identifying priorities and managing their workload in alignment with programmatic needs and goals.
Minimum Education: Required: Bachelor Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge of state and/or federal Civil Rights requirements and/or audits; Working knowledge of Title VI and VII; Ability to analyze regulatory and other legal requirements and apply to internal operations; Ability to problem solve and develop practical solutions that address competing demands in a complex operational environment; Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders from all levels of an organization; Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Forms, and Outlook; Ability to independently prioritize and complete assigned tasks; Demonstrated background in working with individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences; Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; and Demonstrated ability to facilitate training programs for large groups of participants
Desired: In-depth knowledge of employment policies, processes, and HRIS systems; Experience working in a human resource position or developing human resource processes; Human Resources or other related industry certification; Experience administering or developing employment processes in higher education. Experience working in a large, complex, and decentralized organization. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement policies and procedures; Ability to collaborate with key partners to develop and maintain a compliance framework that is responsive to changing case law, regulations, or applicable policies. Demonstrated experience or ability to understand and explain the similarities and differences between civil rights requirements and voluntary diversity, equity, and/or inclusion efforts.
