Senior Planning Consultant Summa Health Systems Full Time, Benefits Eligible 1077 Gorge Blvd Akron OH 44310

Summary: Leads and motivates project team members and provides guidance in providing professional level support. Leads a variety of strategic and business planning activities including (but not limited to) strategy development, meeting/group facilitation, project management, business plan development, market research/assessment/forecasting, volume/demand analyses, and competitive intelligence gathering. Provides support for these activities at the System level, with Entities, and with Programs/Service Lines/Institutes. Works as a leader and member of teams and is largely self-sufficient in project tasks from analysis to deliverable development and presentation. Ensures that regular reporting requirements are completed for the planning department. Specific focus on strong strategic/business planning and project facilitation/management for this role.
Minimum Qualifications: 1. Formal Education Required: a. Master’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
2. Experience & Training Required: a. Seven (7) years of strategic planning experience with consulting experience a plus. b. Prior healthcare experience preferred but not required.
3. Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: a. Experience and expertise in providing high quality consulting and coaching regarding the application of data. b. Strategic plan development methodologies and businesses planning expertise. c. Meeting and project facilitation skills. d. Excellent analytical/quantitative skills along with statistical and comparative analyses skills. e. Ability to conduct and analyze market research and a broad range of experience using primary and secondary data sources. f. Experience with financial analysis, demand modeling and forecasting. g. Ability to be a team player and interact with Physicians, Operations, Marketing and Finance in developing business plans. h. Ability to provide both analysis and recommendations for problems. i. Ability to obtain necessary data from both inside and outside of Summa j. Strong presentation skills. k. Excellent oral and written communication skills. l. Strong organizational and project management skills. m. Strong computer skills with demonstrated knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications. n. Ability to adjust to changing priorities and grow and enter into new areas of opportunity o. A strong focus on service excellence, customer service and meeting customer needs, both internal and external.
