The Human Resources Consultant serves as a consultative role in the Strategic Initiatives function of Human Resources in the College of Arts and Sciences.
The Human Resources Consultant provides consultative support to managers & collaborates with stakeholders to align the HR Operations strategy with that of the unit of support in the areas of employee support/experience, manager support, reporting and analytics, talent acquisition, talent management, compliance, workforce planning, classification and compensation, employee relations and performance management, organizational design and effectiveness, onboarding/offboarding and employment lifecycle .
Key Responsibilities
The Human Resources Consultant partners with HR Business Partner to communicate and implement key HR initiatives and strategies impacting employees and managers. Provides strategic consultation on cross-discipline matters aligning business objectives with unit needs. Develops relationships with key stakeholders to execute HR operations, offer solutions and support employee engagement. Consults to tie business objectives to employee and manager needs. Collaborates with leaders to effectively utilize Centers of Expertise (COEs)
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration with a concentration in human resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience delivering a variety of HR services.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
4-8 years of relevant HR experience.
PHR or SHRM-CP certification.
Proven ability to build productive working relationships with a wide variety of constituencies.
Ability to leverage available technology and analytics to efficiently deliver services in a high volume and complex work environment.
Experience in an HR Generalist role supporting employees and managers is desired.
Experience using an HR information system, preferably Workday, is desired.

The work location for this position is remote within the state of Ohio with the expectation that the person in this role will attend meetings on the Columbus Campus on an as needed basis (estimated to be 1-2 days per month). A cover letter and resume are required for application to this position.
