Lactation Consultant – Post Partum - Part Time 12 Hour Variable Shifts
As an integral member of the maternal patient care team, the lactation consultant (IBCLC-NonRN) supports departments and is responsible in leading and providing lactation management services to expectant and new parents.  Promotes successful breastfeeding while supporting infant feeding choices and acts as an advocate for breastfeeding women. The IBCLC works collaboratively with Labor and Delivery, Newborn and Intensive Care Nurseries, Post-Partum / Couplet Care departments and medical providers and nursing teams to develop feeding plans for a range of infants from the normal newborn to the complex neonate with the interdisciplinary team.  Educates mothers and families to give information, initiate and maintain lactation, overcome obstacles, prevent premature weaning an
