The Talent Acquisition Consultant provides professional consultation in recruitment needs, job posting analysis/evaluation/reviewing for staff (SHRA, EHRA Non Faculty and Faculty); Talent Acquisition services to administrators, hiring managers, and other campus customers. This position will conduct recruitment consultation and postings review/analysis associated existing vacant positions, communicate and promote human resources procedural best practices and provides consultation to campus as well as external stakeholders to support the university in achieving stated goals and objectives. Talent Consultant follows established guidelines, in one or more human resources functional areas such as: benefits administration; career planning; classification; compensation; Onboarding.
The Consultant may be required to adapt procedures to address changing situations, needs and/or deadlines. Provide recruiting services for the staff positions in assigned UNCG departments. Develop recruiting sources, applicant pools and screen and refer qualified applicants. Finalize the recruitment process by making job offers, preparing appointment letters and assisting with the onboarding process. Work involves developing and maintaining productive and collaborative work relationships and assessing and responding to client needs. Using a variety of specialized state-of-the-art technological systems and processes, employees identify, collect, format, organize and process data and information that support HR programs, make decisions within policy guidelines; communicate policies, procedures and guidelines; evaluate patterns and recommend options. Talent Consultants are expected to maintain confidentiality of all information. Work is performed under general to limited supervision. Work may include supervising others, conducting training, and/or administering a human resources program(s).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and two years of progressively responsible professional human resources management experience related to recruitment process for a variety of positions; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, combined with effective verbal and written communication skills, are essential. Demonstrated consultative and negotiation skills are also essential.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel is essential.
Prior, or current, experience with HR information systems, such as PeopleAdmin, Banner HR, (or other comparable HRIS systems) is strongly preferred.
