Job Summary
The Compensation Consultant 2 provides strategic compensation consulting and project management for competitive pay programs and pay-for-performance philosophies.
Essential Functions of the Role
Works strategically across functional areas to identify, plan, develop and deliver compensation services and tools with high quality outcomes.
Manages compensation projects and initiatives. This may include the Compensation Committee, annual merit planning, incentive programs, and job architecture.
Helps with projects, maintains project timelines, creates presentations, communication materials, policies, etc.
Partners with Compensation management and HR Business Services to develop compensation strategies and practices.
Socializes new or changed pay programs with HR Business Services and business managers to include presentations for areas helped.
Responds to internal requests for job reviews, pricing new positions, and equity adjustments. Ensure internal and external equity.
Conducts complex internal and external third-party market testing and reviews.
Researches compensation trends and best practices in the external market. Partners with HR and business leadership to improve pay programs and market position.
Conducts periodic audits to ensure accuracy of data.
Responds to data requests.
Mentors compensation staff and provides performance and development feedback.
Key Success Factors
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) highly desirable.
Knowledge of compensation policies, practices and procedures.
Knowledge of health care industry is preferred.
Relationship management and conflict resolution skills.
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Excellent ability to work with and influence all levels of management.
Excellent data skills.
Ability to work under pressure and regularly reprioritize tasks.

EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
