The Project Management Consultant in the Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC) will supervise and manage high-priority quality improvement initiatives within the Ohio Department of Medicaids State Directed Payment (SDP) IMPACT program. This role serves as a leader for hospital-level workstreams, driving the research and administrative efforts necessary to align hospital performance with statewide health goals.
Position responsibilities include managing and the quality improvement and administrative efforts of project team members; maintain relationships with project sponsors and external partners; drafting technical reports and stakeholder communications; actively reviewing, utilizing and reporting back on quality improvement data to regional project teams to make recommendations on opportunities for improvement, providing subject matter expertise on quality improvement and/or health policy; and other activities (additional details included in Responsibilities (Duties) section below).
Responsibilities associated with the Ohio Department of Medicaids State Directed Payment-IMPACT Network program include utilizing quality improvement science methodology to support project-related implementation and technical assistance; internal staff coaching and mentorship; reviewing change packages and key driver diagrams; supporting the construction of process metrics; reviewing and editing external work products including but not limited to marketing and dissemination materials, QI resources, and project reports; coaching on QI tools; identifying synergies between regional activities to support collaborative efforts and better disseminate the understanding and adoption of high reliability interventions; and basic data analysis and construction of data visualizations, with data analysis software, including Excel, etc.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelors degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.
Required Qualifications
A minimum of six years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or four years of relevant experience with a master's degree is required. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
Additional Desired Qualifications
Advanced degree in relevant field. Industry knowledge in quality improvement science including but not limited to the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Breakthrough Series Model, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt), or Lean Tools is strongly preferred.
