Position Overview: The Imaging Service Line Data Analytics Manager will spend his/her time developing and implementing tools and strategies that allow raw data to be transformed into business insights. This individual will work closely with leaders across the department, College of Medicine, OSUWMC (inclusive of The James), and OSUP to support and implement high-quality, data-driven decisions. He/she will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures. Through the use of advanced data modeling, predictive modeling, and analytical techniques, the manager will interpret key findings from department and health system data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support service line business outcomes. The ideal candidate will apply their exhaustive knowledge of data analysis to solve real-world problems faced by the Department of Radiology and find opportunities for improvement across multiple projects, teams, and business units.
Job Duties:
Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities. Build, develop, and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards, and performance metrics that support key business decisions. Design and build technical processes to address business issues. Oversee and implement the design and delivery of reports and insights that analyze business functions and key operations and performance metrics. Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables with comprehensive policies and processes. Manage and optimize processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering, as well as modeling, visualization, and communication deliverables. Examine, interpret, and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders across the organization. Oversee the data/report request process: tracking requests submitted, prioritization, approval, etc. Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements. Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget, and business operations, and design/implement solutions to meet these needs. Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the department. Create and automate web-based and standalone data visualizations, maps and statistical reports. In partnership with clinicians, researchers, and other experts, design and implement evaluation metrics for various programmatic and improvement initiatives. Contribute to the strategic and operational decision-making and advancement of the department in alignment with the mission and vision. Lead a team to develop prescriptive, predictive, and inferential analytical tools to drive organizational efficiencies and sustainability, improve decision making, and further analytical service offering to internal and external customers. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 6 years of relevant experience required. 8-12 years of relevant experience preferred.
