The Senior Grants Sourcing Consultant position will act as a technical leader on complex fiscal and compliance work for the Grants Compliance Teams. Acts as technical leader demonstrating a high degree of knowledge in the overall field with recognized expertise in specific sourcing areas. Conducts bid processes, approves all bids/waivers. Coordinates with staff, University Strategic Sourcing, and Health System Supply Chain to conduct bids and establish University-wide contracts in accordance with UG/sponsor requirements. Reviews existing contracts for compliance with UG/sponsor requirements and identifies compliant/non-compliant contracts to staff. Leads and manages complex procurement activities (e.g. FOD MOUs for construction projects, ODHE/OAKS/Controlling Board requests).
Serves as Small Business Liaison Officer. Monitors subcontracting activities, prepares and submits reports to federal agencies. Develops new supplier business relationships particularly in the area of small and disadvantaged suppliers. Promotes utilization of prime suppliers, contract suppliers, small and disadvantaged business. Works with PI/SPO to prepare/monitor acquisition plans and small business subcontracting plans.
Assists in developing work guidelines and procedures. Continuously reviews work processes and recommends improvements. Identifies novel opportunities to meet the sourcing needs of the University research community.
Gathers statistics and monitors department performance with respect to bids/waivers and small business subcontracting goals. Keeps management updated on performance. Coordinates with Supervisors to ensure alignment and implementation of best practices.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
4 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated proficiency with electronic research tools and financial management systems
Extensive experience in research administration in a university setting.
Extensive experience conducting bids effectively.
Desired Qualifications
4-8 years of relevant experience.
CRA, CFRA, CPSM or other related certification.
Proven work experience managing processes.
Experience with sourcing software, preferably Ariba.

OSP provides a full range of research administration services to support Ohio State faculty, staff, and graduate students through research administration, responsible stewardship of funds and sound management practices.
